Our Life in Tennessee

So since I haven't posted any pictures at all since we've moved, here are a few of my favorites:

Day 1- Goodbye Spokane, Washington!

Day 1- Our Uhaul broke down on a blind curve of a mountain pass in Idaho. We had no cell reception and were stuck. We waited, yelled and waited some more. Then we prayed, and the truck started! I have never chanted prayer like that day and we made it all the way up the pass and this sign was at the top! Welcome to Montana- I had never been so glad to be in Montana. We made it all the way down too and farther too. It was a miracle.

Day 2- We are so happy!

At Mount Rushmore!

The Badlands

More Badlands. This place was so peaceful.

Day 3- We slept in a covered wagon in North Dakota on Laura Ingalls Wilder's family's old homestead. That morning I got to wash clothes like Ma did. It was so awesome. I think the value of things like this has been completely removed from our society.

Me on the Ingalls' family homestead.

Day 3.75- We were crazy and tired from the trip and got pizza in Kansas City, Missouri.

And we made it! We moved in to our new apartment in a heat wave. Never sweated so much in my life. But we were "home."

A few days later. Wish the apartment still looked this clean! ;)

Nashville, Tennessee! We were on our way to see a Carrie Underwood concert.

At Bridgestone Arena for the concert

Fall 2012- The lake across from our apartment at sunset. Very pretty.

And the pond next to our apartment. I wish I would have gotten it when it was lighter out, but this pond is so calm and pretty. And there is almost always a Blue Herring in the water. Once we even saw a turtle!

October 2012- Picking our pumpkins in a really nasty pumpkin patch. Not very well maintained at all but it was fun (and warm!).

Our puzzle! We try to do one every year. Yes, we're like old people... :)

I canned applesauce, apple butter, and a ton of jam in 2012!

Then, our lives changed a lot. We got a puppy! Her name is Pistachio. I know it's weird, but we love her. And she knows her name. She is a Llewellyn Setter. Kind of like an English Setter (which is what my parents' dog Belle is). She is so sweet, cute and loving. And a little bit crazy. And Crazy is her middle name.

Oh, the tummy.

At Opryland Hotel in December 2012

This was our Christmas card photo this year. She's our baby. And she's spoiled. Very, very spoiled!

Miss Priss

 She loves snuggling.

 Christmas Eve 2012

Christmas 2012- with my big brother and his family.

Bird toy my parents sent Pistachio (their "grand-puppy!") for Christmas. She loves it!

For our 2nd Anniversary we rented a cabin up in the woods near Asheville, North Carolina. It was beautiful and peaceful and so much fun.

Happy 2nd Anniversary to us!

We explored downtown Asheville and enjoyed our lunch at Early Girl Eatery. It was so delicious!

And it snowed which was so wonderful since we had really been missing the snow this year. Pistachio was a snow puppy for sure!

Bye bye cabin. That trip was way too short, but so much fun!

Pistachio LOVES her baths. Can't you tell?

Then, in January 2013 the BEST thing happened. My parents came to visit!!! Here is Dad and Oryson.

And my Mom and I had an epic shopping trip. I mean, EPIC. She bought me way too many things. She spoils me so much!

We had a girls afternoon of lunch at The Chocolate Covered Strawberry (a sweet little restaurant with delicious food!), antique shopping and just hanging out!

She is so beautiful.

Saying good-bye. That week went by so fast!

 Pistachio- January 2013

Okay, now she really does like her baths!

That's our life in Tennessee in a nutshell. Obviously I don't have pictures of work, but N works at a highs school as a Math teacher and I work as a nurse in the Operating Room at Vanderbilt. Work is what we mostly do, but this is everything else! :)
